About the Role:

As a Medical Receptionist, you are much more than the person who checks patients in. You are the first impression of our practice and play a critical role in creating a calm, welcoming, and efficient experience for every patient. We're looking for someone who combines outstanding customer service with excellent organizational skills and a strong understanding of medical insurance.

What You'll Do:

Welcome every patient with warmth, professionalism, and genuine enthusiasm.
Create an exceptional check-in and checkout experience that makes patients feel valued.
Schedule appointments while optimizing provider schedules and patient convenience.
Verify insurance eligibility and benefits with a high degree of accuracy.
Assist patients in understanding insurance requirements, financial responsibilities, and next steps.
Answer incoming calls with confidence, empathy, and professionalism.
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
Partner closely with providers, medical assistants, and billing staff to ensure seamless patient care.
Continuously look for ways to improve the patient experience and office efficiency.

Qualifications:

Preferred:

Experience working in a medical office.
Experience verifying medical insurance benefits and eligibility.
Strong customer service skills.
Experience using electronic medical records (EZ Derm preferred).
Excellent computer skills including Google Workspace.

Bonus Points:

Dermatology experience.
Experience improving office workflows or patient satisfaction.
