About the Role:
As a Medical Receptionist, you are much more than the person who checks patients in. You are the first impression of our practice and play a critical role in creating a calm, welcoming, and efficient experience for every patient. We're looking for someone who combines outstanding customer service with excellent organizational skills and a strong understanding of medical insurance.
What You'll Do:
- Welcome every patient with warmth, professionalism, and genuine enthusiasm.
- Create an exceptional check-in and checkout experience that makes patients feel valued.
- Schedule appointments while optimizing provider schedules and patient convenience.
- Verify insurance eligibility and benefits with a high degree of accuracy.
- Assist patients in understanding insurance requirements, financial responsibilities, and next steps.
- Answer incoming calls with confidence, empathy, and professionalism.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
- Partner closely with providers, medical assistants, and billing staff to ensure seamless patient care.
- Continuously look for ways to improve the patient experience and office efficiency.

Qualifications:
Preferred:
- Experience working in a medical office.
- Experience verifying medical insurance benefits and eligibility.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Experience using electronic medical records (EZ Derm preferred).
- Excellent computer skills including Google Workspace.
Bonus Points:
- Dermatology experience.
- Experience improving office workflows or patient satisfaction.
